Everyone:

Hello!

I am a third year master major in automation at ×× University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activityWhen a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

我是××大學一名大三的學生因為對工業工程這個行業的巨大興趣,我正在申請博士研究生課程。

教育背景

1995,我進入了××大學的科學與技術專業，這是被廣泛認為是中國最好的工程學校。在接下來的本科學習期間,我的學術記錄在整個專業中一直很傑出。我每學期都被授予頭等獎,1999,我有幸進入研究生課程的入學考試。在我的研究生學習期間,我的總平均成績(3.77 / 4)，在所有的學會說呢過中排名前5。在第二個學期,我成為了老師的助手,這個在我們學校只給有才華和成熟的學生。這一年,我獲得了巨集碁獎學金，作為唯一的候選人，這是傑出學生賦予我的大學的最高榮譽。目前,我正在準備我的畢業論文,並試圖獲取優秀的畢業論文的榮譽。

大二的時候，憑著自己的經驗和學術研究,我加入了人工智慧愛好者協會,並開始縮小我的興趣我的未來研究。隨著OpenGL和Matlab的工具的發展,我設計了一個模擬程式的運輸排程系統。現在已經有不同的研究小組在學院廣泛應用。我承擔並完成了南京市汙水處理廠的汙水分析處理專案。這是我第一次把一個實驗室的想法轉換成一個商業產品,回想起來,我發現自己站在堅實的基礎上,在理論和經驗,這為我準備了博士課程提供了很好的便利。我未來的研究方向包括:網路排程問題的啟發式演算法的研究(特別是在GA和神經網路),供應鏈網路的研究,混合動力系統的效能分析與Petri網和資料探勘。
