我們一提英語學習就是：“聽、說、讀、寫”這個順序。而家長考量自己孩子英語好壞的標準，基本上就是：“說！”看孩子能否說得好。那麼，如何才能讓孩子更好地說出英語？我認為英語學習最重要的是態度。

語言無論什麼語種都有基本的通用原則，中國孩子從小講中文經過的語音順序是：聽，學單詞，短句，句子，對話，閱讀……英語學習同樣是語言學習，如果孩子不是chinese-english的雙語家庭，那麼英語的環境就無法和中文相比。而“說”這個輸出的能力，就需要家長長期培養。

為了能讓孩子“輸出”即說出英語，聽、讀要處於優先地位。這是英語教育和學習中家長和孩子應該具備的第一個態度。

在幼兒時期，家長可以用玩、唱的形式去培養孩子學習英語的興趣。越小的孩子，越需要形式活潑和輕鬆的形式。chants, rhythm, songs, poems都是很好的形式。在聽的時候，家長的第二個態度是：輕鬆。歌曲越輕鬆、熱鬧，孩子就越敢唱、喜歡唱，這是對0~8歲兒童的普適性原則。需要提醒大家的是，如果家長有一定英語基礎，可以把歌詞給孩子念出，讓孩子可以準確發音。需要注意的是，聽的時間，要隨著孩子的年齡增長而逐漸加長。

不過，對於上國小的孩子來說，聽輕鬆、熱鬧的英語歌曲就效果甚微了，此時，需要通過有含金量的文學故事來提升孩子的英語水平。

學好英語還有很重要的一個部分，那就是讀。這是我最看重的東西，也是英語學習尤其是英語素養能否提升的關鍵。我認為，如果母語學習不好，英語就不可能學好。一個喜歡中文閱讀的孩子，在閱讀中養成了對文字的思考習慣，這些習慣會自然遷移到英語學習中。這是學好英語的第三個態度：閱讀。

Friday Rainy

At the beginning of the term, I made up my mind to learn English well in my plan. Then I carried out the plan full of determination. I stu-died as hard as I could,and so the days and weeks went by. Soon the time for the mid-term exam came. I went over my lessons in earnest,because Iexpected to get good marks. But to my surprise, I got a low mark of 73.I made quite a few grammar mistakes. Besides, I was unable to use some words or idioms correctly. I felt very sorry about it. I sat in the classroom in low spirits.

Knowing about it,my English teacher asked me to go to his of-fice and told me not to be so disappointed. He also told me to listen to the teacher attentively in class,to make notes while listening and to do more reading and writing,and that only in this way could I learn Eng-lish well.

What he said struck me greatly. I am determined to do as my tea-cher told me to. I'm sure I'll make some progress next time.
