第二天，我走到楊老師辦公室門口，深呼吸了一下，朝著屋內說：“報，報告！”楊老師抬起頭，看著我笑了笑。我走到他的桌子前，小聲地問道：“楊老師，我…我可以參加這次英語競賽嗎？”我不安地猜想著：名額會不會已經夠了，老師是不是不放心我？結果楊老師不但同意我參加，還給了我許多鼓勵：“王牧虹，你是整個三年級唯一的一個表演講故事的。沒關係，你大膽去準備，不管結果怎樣，重在參於嘛！”

好不容易到了表演的前一天，楊老師讓我給他表演一遍。我特別緊張，雖然還不是正式表演。我很順利地給楊老師表演了一遍，他說我表演地非常好，準備得也很充分。這些話給了我很大的自信。

演出前，我的心彷彿要跳到嗓子眼了，真的好緊張啊！上臺前，楊老師鼓勵我：“不用緊張，只要表情自然、動作協調、臺詞準確，就ok啦！”他還幫我換衣服——一件漂亮的紗裙，可是，不知怎麼了，裙子的拉鍊怎麼也拉不上去。這時我更加緊張，沒辦法，只好不穿嘍！楊老師像媽媽一樣溫柔地看著我，真誠地微笑著說：“也沒關係，重點看錶演，誰看服裝呢，我看你穿這黑毛衣也非常漂亮！”
