語法

（一）名詞所有格

1. This is Kitty and Ben’s model house.這是凱蒂和本的房子模型。

Kitty and Ben’s 中的’s 為名詞所有格，表示所有關係，翻譯為“……的”。

’s詞尾的加法可概括如下：

（1）在單數情況下直接加“’s”:

Lucy’s hat 露西的帽子my mother’s bike 我媽媽的自行車

（2）若名詞已有複數詞尾，僅加“’”

the teachers’reading-room教師的閱覽室

the twins’ bedroom 雙胞胎的臥室

（3）如果名詞是複數卻不以-（e）s結尾，仍加“’s”：

Childern’s books 兒童讀物the women’s movement婦女運動

（4）兩者共有標在後

Lucy and Lily’s mother露西和莉麗的媽媽

（二）過去時及將來時

1. They made it two years ago. 這是他們兩年前製作的。

two years ago 意為“兩年前”，與一般過去時連用。made為make的過去式。

（1）ago應放在表示一段時間的短語後面，而不放在前面。

如：I met her three years ago.我三年前遇見她。

（2）ago 須同過去時連用。如：I left school half a year ago.半年前我離開了學校。

2. They are going to make a new one.他們打算製作一個新的。

（1）“be going to +動詞原形”表示事先經過考慮或事先做好安排，打算做某事。如：We are going to have a swim this afternoon.今天下午我們將去游泳。

一般疑問句將be 提前，否定句在be 後面加not。如：Are you going to meet this afternoon?

你們今天下午打算會面嗎？Yes, we are./No, we aren’t.是的，我們將會面。/不， 我們不會面。（肯定和否定回答）I’m not going to help my mother this afternoon.今天下午我不打算幫我媽媽。

be going to 與will的區別:

(a)will 既可用於口語又可用於書面語，而be going to 則只用於口語，科技英語幾乎不用它表示將來時。如：He is going to /will do his homework.他要做作業。

(b)be going to 表示事先經過考慮或事先做好安排，打算做某事；而will 可以表示沒有經過事先考慮只是在說話時做出的決定。

-Jim is ill. –I ’m sorry to hear that. I will go and see him.

-吉姆病了。-聽到這個訊息我很難過。我要去看看他。

(c) will 表示事物的傾向性或規律性，be going to 不能這樣用。

Tomorrow will be the 3rd of May.明天是五月三號。

（d）be going to 表示說話人認為有跡象表示即將發生某種情況。

Look! It’s going to rain. 看！天要下雨了！

三. 重難點解析

1. make意為“製造，製作”。make .=make sb為某人制作某物

如：My father made me a model bus.我爸爸給我製作了一個公共汽車模型。

2. a bottle of glue 一瓶膠水

量詞片語的表達法：

數詞+容器+of+名詞

如：a bottle of beer 一瓶啤酒 a bowl of rice 一碗飯

two spoons of sugar 兩匙糖 four boxes of pens 四盒鋼筆

ten baskets of apples 十籃蘋果

3. What do we use these cotton reels for? We use them for making tables. 我們用這些棉線軸做什麼？我們用它們製作桌子。

use …for doing …用……來做…….=use …to do…如：（1）We use knives for cutting things.=We use knives to cut things.我們用刀來切東西。（2）We use coats for keeping warm.=We use coats to keep warm.我們用外套來保暖。

4. We use a pair of scissors for cutting things. 我們用剪刀剪東西。

a pair of scissors意思是“一把剪子”，scissors常用複數。我們學過a pair of trousers，類似的詞還有：shoes, glasses, shorts等。

5. We use glue and tape for sticking things together 我們用膠水和膠帶把東西粘在一起。

stick…ther把…粘在一起

6. colour of the outside /inside of the model house 房子模型的外邊/裡邊的顏色

（1）outside 在這裡用作名詞。反義詞是inside，如：Don’t judge a man from the outside.不要根據外表來判斷一個人。

（2）outside 還可用作介詞、副詞、形容詞。

如：Let’s meet outside the school gate. 咱們在校門外邊集合吧。

The boy is standing outside. 那個男孩在外邊站著呢。

The house needs outside repairs. 這房子外部需要修理。

（3）與out ,out of 的區別：

（a）out 作副詞，意為“出，在外”，反義詞為in “在裡面”；be out “外出”，反義片語為be in “在家”，be in =be at home。

She is out.=She isn’t in .她出去了。

out 作形容詞，意為“外面的”或“在野的；下臺的”。

an out match 外出訪問比賽 an out Party 在野黨

（b）out作副詞還有“向外，…出”的意思，表示向外移動。go out for a walk出去散步

（c）out of 是動態介詞，表示“從…出來（去）”，“在……範圍外”。

They come out of the classroom.他們從教室裡走出來。

Don’t look out of the window.不要朝窗外看。

7. things /furniture in the rooms 房間裡的東西/傢俱

furniture 指傢俱（總稱），一件傢俱應說：a piece of furniture

8. The new model house is bigger than the old one.新房子模型比舊房子模型（大）。

此句為：A+動詞+形容詞比較級+than+B表示兩者相比較，說明“A比B更……一些”。

如：His brother is younger than I/me .他弟弟比我小。

Hangzhou is more beautiful than Wuhan.杭州比武漢美。

9. However, the rooms in the new model are smaller .然而，（新）房子模型的房間比較小。

根據上下文內容，新房子模型的房間比舊房子模型的房間小，因此用比較級，而後省略了than the ones in the old model house。

10. Let us show you how to make a model house. 讓我們給你們示範怎樣作房子模型。

show意思是“出示，展示”。此句為show+sb+帶疑問詞的不定式，如：

He often shows me how to go to the Internet.他常告訴我怎樣上網。

show還有下列用法：

（1）show sb sth=show sth to sb 如：

Please show me your ticket=Please show ticket to me . 請出示你的票。

Show the boy your watch=Show your watch to the boy .給那個男孩看看你的表。

如果某物是代詞，要用賓格，且不能用show sb sth句式，而只能用show sth to sb句式，此時某物只能是it 和them。如：（誤）Show me it /them. (正)Show it/them to me .把它/它們給我看看。

（2）Show sb+從句

Show me what’s in your hand.給我看看你的手裡有什麼。

（3）show 還可以作“表現，顯露，領路，上映，演出，展出”等解。

如：He shows great interest in science. 他對科學顯示出極大的興趣。

Please show me around your school.請帶我參觀一下你的學校。

What’s showing on the TV?電視演什麼呢？

（4）show 作名詞用，表示“演出，節目，炫耀”等。如：

There is a flower show this weekend 這週末有一個花展。

She is food of show.她喜歡炫耀。

11. Next ,cut a piece of cardboard to make a roof for your model house . 然後，剪一塊紙板來做你的房子模型的房頂。

（1）a piece of …一片（塊，張…）……如：a piece of paper 一張紙

a piece of bread一片面包

（2）to make a roof for your model house 為動詞不定式作目的狀語。

（3）make…for…意為“為…製作…”。

12. Finally, stick wallpaper onto the walls of the rooms.最後，把牆紙粘到房間的牆上。

stick粘住，粘在一起 stick…onto… 把……粘到……上
