動名詞複合結構主要用法如下：

1、動名詞複合結構作主語

如：It‘s no use your trying to deceive me.

你想騙我是沒有用的。

在口語中也有用名詞通格和代詞賓格的情況，

如：My daughter staying up so late worried me

我的女兒睡得很晚令我擔心。

2、動名詞複合結構作賓語

如：（1）I am not in favour of mother selling the old home

我不贊同母親賣掉老房。

（2）I have often heard of him working hard

我常聽到他刻苦用功的話。
