教材分析

1 ．單元背景分析：

從時間安排，本單元放在國際婦女節左右的時間，可以引起學生對婦女問題的關注。傳統上女性作為賢妻良母，作為一名成功的男性背後的偉大女性而稱頌。但“把女性還給歷史，把歷史還給女性”時，我們不難看出在社會發展過程中女性所做的不僅是生兒育女，操持家務等。她們也在政治，經濟，科學文化，教育，軍事等領域中熠熠生輝，彪炳史冊。現今，婦女在取得進步的同時，無論中外都尚存在不少值得深思的女性問題如婦女參政議政比率問題，婦女職業趨向問題，及美國黑人婦女現象等。

2 。本單元內容分析：

本單元中心話題為“偉大的女性”，並圍繞此中心展開

Warm-up ,Listening ,Pre-reading ,Post-reading ,Language study ,Integrating skills ,Tips ,和 checkpoint 等系列活動。

Warming up: 此部分為兩部分。第一部分，看圖說話。針對四位著名女性談論她們

生平及在此展開心目中偉大女性的形象及產生的原因。

第二部分，深層討論針對女性在社會高層中成名或取得工作較難的問題，

展開男女平等性的研討。

Listening : 這部分是一則對話，兩個人對舊照片中朋友展開介紹要求能正確抓住人物關係及人物特徵的資訊詞：Workbook中是對世界婦女大會組織的介紹並探討聽力材料中人物及獲獎的原因。

Speaking : 該部分分為兩部分。第一部分看圖說話。呈現出日常女性三個生活場景：工作，休閒，育兒。要求能正確使用有關形容詞及句型談論人物品質。第二部分分為小遊戲“Guessing the name”。一位同學想著一名著名女性,其他同學以提問方式猜出人名。Workbook部分是對新中國成立後女性受到良好的教育及較多的工作機會,但為何她們接受高層工作機會較少展開討論。

Pre-reading ：該部分是Reading的前奏曲。針對去南極探險展開提問.問題涉及探險用具，極圈附近地理環境，生態及動物等。

Reading : 該部分描述了一位60歲Helen Thayer女士獨立探險南極的記述，刻畫了一位勇於冒險,探索自然，不怕困難，冷靜處事,意志堅強的女性形象。該文從Helen的日記中改編擷取而來，共8段三個部分。第一段寫開始探險，第二段到第七段說探險過程，第八段結束--由於身體緣故不得不放棄的心理描寫。

Post-reading: 該部分分為兩部分。第一部分對於課文的理解。第二部分要求描述Helen的品質及由此展開對女性品質的稱讚。

Language Study：分為兩個部分。第一部分詞彙，採用選詞填空的方式。第二部分語法是涉及主謂一致的情況。採用先提供語法知識，後用選詞填空的方式和改寫句子來鞏固book詞彙部分要求用正確形式填空及課文改編短文填詞及翻譯練習，語法中仍做主謂一致練習及一篇關於居里夫人的短文填空。

Integrating Skill：本文介紹了一位著名美國黑人婦女Oprah Winfrey的介紹。要求掌握刻畫人物品質的介紹性說明文的寫法，初步瞭解黑人婦女的狀況及鞏固書信的格式--該部分用了fan letter的方式來強調。

Tips： 掌握正確的方式描寫人物。

Checkpoint： 語法檢查---對主謂一致的掌握及總結群體性名詞。本單元結束要求作一個簡要的自評。

重點：1.詞彙，片語及句型結構。

2.正確描述人物品質。

3.按照時間為序有層次的刻畫人物寫作手法的掌握。

4.瞭解掌握主謂一致。

5.鞏固fan-letter.

難點 ：1 .形象準確描述人物。

2 .討論：男女平等性開放性話題。

3 .瞭解男女平等,美國黑人問題及黑人婦女狀況等問題。

3. Listening

Now , I’d like you listen to some information about these four persons r listening , tell me who I just describe .

She was born in Warsaw on Nov,7,1867. When she was 24 years old , she went to Paris to continue her studies in Physics and Mathematical sciences . There, she got married to Pierre r the death of her husband , she took the place as Professor of Physics discovered polonium and radium. She received the Nobel Prize twice.-Madame Curie.

She was born in West Virginia, but she spent most of her life in China. In 1920s she began to publish stories and essays in magazines first novel ,East Wind ,West Wind was publish in 1930. The Good Earth , her 2nd novel won her the Pulitzer Prize . She won the Nobel Prize in literature published over 70 books in her life time .---Pearl S. Buck

She was born on August 27 ,1910. When she was12,she determined to help the poor and India was her destination . At 18, she went to India and took her initial vows as a nun . She devoted herself to this place . She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She died in 1997-Mother Teresa .(To keep a lump burning ,we have to keep putting oil in it –Mother Teresa)

She was born into a rich family . As the widow of Sun Yatsen , she became an important member of the elite of P.R.C. She was the vice-chairperson of the P.R.C. and devoted herself to the welfare activities for women and children.-Song Qinglin

4. Discussion

It has been said life is difficult as it is women it seems twice as difficult it more difficult for women to become famous or get jobs in high positions. What do you think?

Now ,we have few chances to talk with the famous women face-to –face . With the help of modern machines, we know of them . Yet in our daily life ,we have more pictures of our dear friends . Now Alice and Lucy are talking about the old friends en carefully.
